How does online tutoring work?
I teach using Zoom, OneNote, Bitpaper, and Google Jamboard. After each lesson is done, I will send you a pdf of the notes so you do not need to take notes in our lesson. You will need good audio. It is recommended that you have a writing tablet but it is not necessary.
What is your rate for tutoring?
One Student only - 30 Canadian dollars per hour
Why you should consider online tutoring over in-person tutoring?
Online tutoring is convenient and saves you and your child a lot of time. There is no need to drop your child to the tutor's place. Moreover, you and your child do not have to go outside and bear the cold. In addition, your child can learn math during vacation.
What are your expectations of the student?
If you are not able to make a session, please request a change in time for the week at least 48 hours in advance. If you are unable to do this and miss a session, the session will still be charged. While I am lenient up to 2 times because I realize that things happen, I always put the responsibility of rescheduling in the parent's or student’s hand. All you need to do is contact me, and we can set up a different time. If no contact is made, then it is charged as if we had the session. There are no exceptions to this.
Since I have a full case load of students, it is really important to start and end on time. If you show up late, it usually will not be possible to make up that time.
